• decoding of Mouflon-style URIs, which XLoveCam uses to obscure some playlists and which basic downloaders fail on
• reading VR stream details where XLoveCam exposes them: stereo packing, frame format and horizontal angle

Qualities are parsed from the HLS master manifest, so the list spells out each variant's resolution, bandwidth and frame rate rather than leaving you with one default playback quality.

Running a capture

1. Install the extension and sign in with an email one-time password (OTP); that activates it on the current device.
2. Go to a performer's public page, or to a recording page the extension supports, and wait until the player has fully loaded.
3. Use the in-player button, the popup or the right-click shortcut labelled "Download XLoveCam Stream" to choose a rendition, then start the live capture or the recording download.
4. The media is captured or stitched locally and the finished MP4 is written to Downloads/XLOVECAM, with no repeated save dialogs.

An in-page download manager shows elapsed time, segment counts, retries and speed, and has a cancel control.

Boundaries

• Nothing can be captured live unless the performer is broadcasting publicly at that moment.
• Private or inaccessible shows are off limits; the extension makes no attempt to bypass them.
• The design assumes a single active capture or download. Running many captures at once is not what it is built for.
• What you can choose from is whatever rendition the stream or recording happens to offer.
• For long live captures, and while HLS segments are still being processed, leave the originating tab open.
• Access and download rights are your responsibility: use it only on content you are already entitled to view and save.

On the desktop it installs in Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Brave, Opera, Whale or Yandex, under Windows, macOS or Linux. There is no Safari version and no mobile support. Supported regions: Worldwide.

What are the steps for recording a live XLoveCam show?

Wait until the performer's public page has a running player. Reach the extension through the button on the player, its toolbar popup or the right-click entry, choose a rendition and hit Start. Hitting Stop ends the capture and finalizes the MP4.

Does it also work on XLoveCam recordings and trailers, not just live rooms?

It does. Recording and trailer pages get a normal download instead of a live capture, so you select a format, the MP4 is saved, and no Stop press is needed.
