Filling the gap Xfantazy leaves

Xfantazy gives you no official way to keep a video for offline viewing; there is simply no save button on the site. This extension supplies one inside your browser. Open a video, choose the resolution you want and it arrives as a clean MP4 named after the original title, with performer tags attached so a growing collection stays easy to sort.

Inside the extension

• Spots Xfantazy video streams as soon as a video page opens, embedded and CDN-served sources included
• A resolution picker that lists every quality on offer, so you can take the MP4 that suits you
• Saving with a single click from the toolbar icon, or from the right-click menu on any Xfantazy video page
• The original file kept as is: no re-encoding, no compression and no changes to watermarks
• Video titles, performer tags and timestamps preserved alongside each download
• A download manager showing live progress and speed, plus a desktop notification when a file is done

Queues, retries and naming

Whole playlists can be stacked into the batch queue. The extension works through them one after another and retries automatically if a connection is interrupted, and resume support carries a dropped download on from the point it stopped, so you can leave it running unattended.

Once a file is finished, the extension files it by itself into a folder for its performer or category, all inside your usual Downloads location.

Desktop coverage and region

Builds are offered for Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Brave and Opera, running on Windows, macOS and Linux. Supported regions: Worldwide.

What each permission is for

Everything is processed on your own machine. Nothing is uploaded to a cloud service, no analytics or telemetry are gathered, and activation is validated once rather than continuously monitored.

• downloads: puts each Xfantazy video on your device at the format and resolution it was published in.
• activeTab: finds the video sources available on the Xfantazy page you currently have open.
• storage: keeps your folder preferences, the performer tag cache and activation state from one session to the next.
• notifications: tells you when an Xfantazy download completes, or when a queued video runs into a problem.

FAQ

Can it save Xfantazy videos that sit behind the site's own login or paywall?

Only videos you are already allowed to watch. The extension respects Xfantazy's authentication and does not get around paywalls.

How does the extension cope with a very long Xfantazy playlist?

Add the videos to the queue and walk away. They are downloaded in sequence, and interrupted transfers are retried automatically.

Do downloaded Xfantazy files keep their original names?

Yes, original titles are kept. You can also have downloads organized into performer or category folders.

Does anything about my Xfantazy downloads get logged or reported?

No. The files and your activity stay on your device, and no analytics or telemetry data is collected.

Can I keep the performer and video details with each Xfantazy file?

Yes. Performer tags and video information are stored together with the file, so you can look them up later.
