Generic tools and WorldSex don't mix

On WorldSex, an adult platform carrying a large mix of user-uploaded and studio-produced videos, a dependable way to save a video for offline viewing or a personal archive is hard to come by. All-purpose downloaders often fail to find the media on site-specific pages like these, and you're left with dead links or poor-quality files. Worldsex Video Downloader is designed around how WorldSex lays out its video pages and serves its media. Instead of sending a link to a paste-a-URL service, it works in your browser whenever you're on a supported WorldSex video: it finds the media that's available, lets you choose a quality, and saves a standard MP4. No extra utilities or converters are involved.

From search to saved file

• Get the build that matches your browser from the latest release and install it.
• On WorldSex, browse or search for a video and open its page.
• Press play on the player. Until the stream is visible, the extension has no quality options to offer.
• Click the Worldsex Video Downloader icon in the toolbar, or use the on-page controls.
• Pick a resolution from the popup when there's more than one. The list is whatever that page provides, and not every video comes in every resolution.
• Start the download, wait for the MP4 export to finish, and the file is stored on your computer.

If the icon isn't visible after installing, your browser has probably tucked it into the extensions menu; pin Worldsex Video Downloader from there to keep it in the toolbar. The popup itself is uncluttered and quick to reach. To activate the extension you sign in by email and confirm a secure one-time password.

While it saves

A started download carries on in the background for as long as the browser stays open, so you can keep browsing in the meantime. Larger files depend on the connection holding up for the whole transfer; if one fails partway, check the connection and run it again. The result is an ordinary MP4 for standard media players, easy to move between devices or archive.

What it talks to

The extension's only conversation is with WorldSex video pages, and only to detect media on them. It doesn't gather your browsing activity or send it anywhere. The single exception is the email sign-in, which sends only what is needed to confirm your one-time password. Downloads go straight from the WorldSex page to your computer.

Compatibility and limits

• Made for desktop Chrome, Edge, Brave and Firefox. Mobile browser support hasn't been verified.
• Detection is most dependable on regular WorldSex video pages; content shown through embedded or outside players, and some special content types, may not work.
• WorldSex can change how its pages are built, and when that happens detection may misbehave for a while.
• If one particular page refuses to work, check that it is a standard video page rather than a special content type.
• Downloads need an internet connection.
• What you save is your responsibility. Limit it to WorldSex videos that are yours, or that you've been given explicit permission to store.
