No save option on the player

Watchxxxfree, an adult video site, gives its player no way to keep a video. The alternatives are reading page source, pulling out URLs by hand, or trusting a third-party tool, and each of those is slow, unreliable or a privacy risk. Watchxxxfree Video Downloader puts the download step inside your browser instead. Once it's installed, it notices the stream that's playing and offers to save it from a small popup, with no outside websites, complicated settings or additional software involved. You don't need a Watchxxxfree account, and no technical knowledge is required.

Click-and-save routine

1. From the latest Watchxxxfree Video Downloader release, add the package that matches your browser.
2. Open a Watchxxxfree video page, press play and let it buffer so the stream loads.
3. Click the extension's toolbar icon to see the streams it found and the quality on offer.
4. Choose a resolution and hit download.
5. Once the MP4 has saved, you'll find it in your browser's default download folder.

To activate the extension you sign in with your email and a one-time code.

Output and system impact

Everything is saved as MP4, so files play on desktop players, phones, tablets and smart TVs. The extension stays light on resources and doesn't drain anything in the background.

Compatible browsers

Watchxxxfree Video Downloader is offered for Chrome, Edge, Brave and Firefox.

If a save doesn't go through

Start with the toolbar icon: if it stays inactive, either the tab isn't a Watchxxxfree video page or the extension has been switched off in the browser. A download that begins and then dies points to your connection or to a full disk, and dropping to a lower quality is often the more reliable route. When a finished file refuses to open, confirm its name ends in .mp4 before reaching for another media player. As for detection itself, a paused video gives the extension nothing to find, so get it playing before opening the popup; and if the popup still lists no options, reload the page, restart playback and open it again.

Fine print

• An internet connection has to stay active during downloads.
• The responsibility for what gets saved is yours: stick to videos that are your own or that someone with the rights has explicitly allowed you to keep.

FAQ

Do some Watchxxxfree uploads slip past detection?

It can happen. Most video pages on the site are supported, though results vary with how a particular video is hosted and delivered.

Is a Watchxxxfree account required, or any other sign-up?

You don't need a Watchxxxfree account. The only sign-in is by email, and it's used to verify your activation.

What does the Watchxxxfree extension do with my personal information?

Nothing. It only touches Watchxxxfree video pages to find streams, and it neither collects personal data nor shares anything externally.

Could I point Watchxxxfree Video Downloader at a different video site?

No. It's made for Watchxxxfree alone and won't work on other platforms.
