Where It Can Trip Up

Everything hinges on playback. TubeV only exposes its streams once the player starts fetching media, so an empty popup almost always means the video isn't running yet, and a greyed-out icon usually means the page needs a refresh or isn't a supported TubeV video address. Results are best when the player has fully loaded and playback is under way, and TubeV may change its player over time in ways that affect detection.

If a download won't begin, look at your browser's download settings and switch off any popup blocker that could interfere; pausing the video and starting it again can also help. Large files simply take longer, so check your connection and close tabs that use a lot of bandwidth. A download that keeps stalling may mean the source stream has changed.

The quality list reflects what TubeV serves for each particular video, so a disappointing result on one video says more about that upload than about the extension; trying another video is a quick way to confirm the extension itself is doing its job properly.
