TNAFlix Video Downloader
Adds a download button to the TNAFlix player, sorts every rendition from best to worst and saves direct files or HLS streams as MP4 on your machine.
A Button Where TNAFlix Has None
There's no way to keep a TNAFlix video for offline viewing from the site itself. TNAFlix Video Downloader places a download button inside the player, so once a video is playing you can choose a quality and save it as an MP4 without screen recording or trawling through the network inspector.
Generic download tools often miss where TNAFlix actually keeps its sources. This extension is written for the site and checks several places at once:
- config XML files that TNAFlix uses for its player
- AJAX responses in the style EMPFlix uses
<video>elements in the HTML5 markup- attributes on the page, and scripts written inline into it
Direct MP4 links are saved straight away, while HLS adaptive streams are processed into a standard MP4. It reads video pages on tnaflix.com, with or without the www prefix, one video at a time; there's no bulk download for whole profiles or categories.
Starting a Download
After the page has begun playback and loaded its stream data, any of these opens the quality selector:
- the button inside supported TNAFlix video containers
- the extension popup
- the right-click menu item labelled "Download TNAFlix Video", available on the page and on the video
The selector lists every rendition the page exposes, highest resolution first; depending on the source, that usually means SD at the low end and 720p or 1080p at the top. Nothing is re-encoded, watermarks aren't touched, and the file is the one the page serves.
A built-in download manager shows progress and transfer speed, lets you cancel, and confirms completion while you keep browsing. Desktop notifications tell you when a download finishes or a job fails.
Where Files End Up
Direct MP4 downloads drop automatically into a dedicated folder, Downloads/TNAFlix, so nothing needs sorting by hand. HLS downloads are assembled in the browser first and may then open a save-as dialog so you can pick a location. For longer HLS jobs, keep the source tab open until processing has finished.

FAQ
How do I go from a playing TNAFlix video to a saved file?
Open the video page and press play. Then use the button in the player, the popup or the "Download TNAFlix Video" right-click entry, choose a quality, and the MP4 is saved.
Which resolutions might I see?
Every tier the page offers, best first. Depending on the source, expect SD at the bottom and 720p or 1080p at the top.
What kind of file do I get?
Always an MP4. Direct MP4 sources are saved as they are, and HLS streams are turned into MP4 inside your browser.
Do direct MP4 and HLS saves end up in the same place?
Not necessarily. Direct MP4 files go into the Downloads/TNAFlix folder automatically, while HLS downloads may ask you where to save them.
Can a whole profile or category be grabbed at once?
No. It works on individual video pages and has no profile-wide or category-wide download.
Are both tnaflix.com and the www address covered?
Yes. Video pages work with or without the www prefix.
Is the video altered or cleaned up in any way?
No. You get the original file exactly as the site delivers it, with no re-encoding, watermark removal or quality changes.
What browsers can I use it with?
It runs on Windows, macOS and Linux in Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Brave, Opera, Whale or Yandex. Safari and mobile browsers aren't compatible.
Detection isn't working on my video. Any tips?
Press play before anything else; until then the page hasn't fetched its stream data. After that, try the player button or the popup. If that fails, refresh, wait until the player has fully initialised and try again.
What are permissions like scripting, tabs and contextMenus used for?
Together with downloads, notifications and activeTab, they handle finding sources, adding the on-page controls, tracking progress, sending alerts and saving files locally.
Is anything uploaded to a third party?
No. Detection and processing are local, and no media or metadata is sent to third-party servers.
