Addresses Built From a Number

Every video on the platform SxyLand sits at an address that starts with a numeric content ID and ends with a slug describing the clip. Generic browser extensions look for familiar embed patterns and miss how this site hands out its media, and some paste-a-link services refuse the URL outright. Think of the path as <id>/<slug>: the number identifies the clip, the words after it describe it, and it's that pairing the extension looks for when it decides whether a page is a video it should handle.

Sxyland Video Downloader is scoped to SxyLand's own hosts and routing. It stays inactive on other sites, switches on when a page matches the numbered video format, detects the stream itself and gives you back a local MP4. Because it knows that format in advance, you don't have to dig for the media address yourself or hope a general-purpose tool recognises the page.

Using It

Setting up. Open the most recent SxyLand release on GitHub, take the package built for your browser (Chrome, Edge, Brave or Firefox) and install it the way your browser installs extensions. Before the first save you activate it by entering your email and the one-time password sent to it.

Finding the stream. Open a SxyLand video whose address has the numbered format, give the page and player time to load, and start playback. Then click the toolbar icon. The popup scans the current page and lists the media it found there.

Saving. If more than one quality shows up, choose the one you want; if only one appears, that's what the page serves. Start the download and wait for processing to finish. The MP4 goes to your downloads folder, or to whichever local directory you pick when saving.

Playing it back. The result is an ordinary MP4. If it won't open, the player is the thing to check: nearly every modern one handles MP4 without plugins.

When the Popup Has Nothing

The extension needs the player to be running before it can name a stream. An empty popup usually means playback hasn't started or the page is still loading, so start the video, wait a moment and open it again. If the icon does nothing at all, look at the address: without the numeric ID and slug it isn't treated as a video page.

A download that refuses to begin is usually down to the connection or a half-loaded video; check that you're online, refresh the page and restart playback. Every download needs an active internet connection.

Only save SxyLand videos that are yours or that you've been explicitly allowed to keep.

FAQ

Is it available for my browser?

Builds exist for Chrome, Edge, Brave and Firefox. Choose the one for your browser from the newest GitHub release.

The saved MP4 won't play. What's wrong?

Check that your media player supports MP4. Almost every modern player opens it without extra plugins.

How does activation work?

You sign in with your email address and enter the one-time password that's sent to you. No other password is created.

Does it handle all SxyLand pages?

It covers video pages on sxyland.com, www.sxyland.com and other subdomains whose address carries a numeric content ID plus a descriptive slug. Other kinds of pages are ignored.

What file type will I end up with?

An MP4, which practically any media player or device can play.

When are quality options shown?

Only when the page offers more than one. In that case the popup lists them and you choose before starting the download.
