The Problem With Saving From Sunporno

Across its many categories, the adult video platform Sunporno mixes clips that users upload with professionally produced ones. Watching them is easy; keeping a copy is not.

On most Sunporno pages the real stream sits behind the player, so a right-click tends to give you a poster frame instead of the video. Paste-a-link download sites are no better: you hand your viewing history to a stranger, and they often confuse ad clips with the actual content.

Sunporno Video Downloader skips both of those. It works in the tab you already have open, looks at the player once it has loaded, and shows you the media endpoints it found so you can choose one to keep.

What It Picks Up

• Progressive MP4 links and HLS (M3U8) playlists that Sunporno serves after its player starts
• Stream addresses that only show up once buffering begins, thanks to a scan that runs after playback starts
• Several resolutions, when the page offers more than one, shown in a picker
• Pages on sunporno.com and its related subdomains, matched by URL pattern

Because the popup lists each stream by type, it also shows you at a glance whether a page hands out a direct MP4 or an HLS playlist. Either way, what lands on your disk is an MP4 file, a container that ordinary media players, phones and archiving software all open.

Keeping It Local

Detection, choosing a stream and writing the file all happen inside your browser. Your Sunporno addresses never pass through an outside server, and the finished download goes through the browser's own save mechanism into a dedicated folder for clips. The extension is light on resources, so normal browsing isn't slowed down, and new versions are published on GitHub Releases.

You sign in to the extension with a one-time code sent to your email, so there's no password to keep track of.

Saving a Clip

1. Download the package that suits your browser from the current GitHub release and follow the browser's usual extension install steps.
2. Open the Sunporno video you want.
3. Press play if it doesn't start on its own, so the player reveals its streams.
4. Click the toolbar icon (or the in-page controls) to see what was detected.
5. Choose a resolution and press download, then wait while the MP4 is written to disk.

Timing matters with this site. The player often doesn't reveal its media address until it has started buffering, so a popup opened too early can come up empty; let the video run for a moment and look again. A picker with just one entry isn't a fault either: some Sunporno videos are only published at one quality, and the extension never shows more than the page provides.

If a save breaks off before it finishes, look at your network first, then reload the page, start the video again and retry. A missing toolbar icon usually means the extension is switched off in the browser's add-on manager, or that the tab was already open when you installed it and needs a refresh. Finished clips go to the download location your browser is set to use, so changing that browser setting is how you move them somewhere else.

Where It Falls Short

• It only knows what each page exposes to the browser, so some videos may not be downloadable.
• Standard Sunporno video pages are the target; unusual layouts or players embedded from elsewhere might not be recognised.
• You need to stay online for the whole download.
• Keep to videos you own or that you've been allowed to download.

FAQ

Can I install the Sunporno Video Downloader right away?

Yes. Builds are published on the project's GitHub Releases page; download the one for your browser and add it through your browser's extension settings.

Why is there no icon on Sunporno pages?

Open your browser's add-on manager and check that the extension is switched on. If you installed it with the tab already open, refresh the tab.

What are the steps to keep a Sunporno clip?

Open the video page, let the player get going, then open the extension's popup. It lists the streams it detected, and you choose which one to save.

Which stream types can it read, and what comes out?

It reads progressive MP4 links and HLS/M3U8 playlists, and every saved file is an MP4.

I opened the popup and the list is empty. Why?

Most likely the player hasn't started yet. Some streams only become visible after buffering begins, so let the video load and play, then open the popup again.

Is every video on the site guaranteed to save?

No. Results depend on how each page is built and how its video is delivered, so some pages may not expose anything the extension can grab.

Do I get a say in the resolution?

If the video is offered in more than one resolution, the popup shows each of them for you to choose from. Some Sunporno videos only exist at one quality, and then that's the only option.

How do I change where the files go?

The extension saves to whatever download location your browser uses, so change that in your browser's download settings.

Must I be logged in to Sunporno?

No. Publicly accessible videos can be saved without a Sunporno account. The extension itself uses an emailed one-time code for sign-in.

My Sunporno clip only half-saved. Is there a way to get the rest?

Not by resuming it. Check your connection, reload the page, start the video again and run the download from the beginning.
