Out of reach

It does. When a Spotlight clip is publicly viewable on the web, you can save it in the best quality tier Snapchat streams.

Can I pull videos from places on Snap Map?

Public material on Snap Map is covered: community stories tied to a location as well as single public snaps, all opened through the web version.

What about snaps that were sent only to me?

Those are off limits. Direct messages, stories shared just with friends and anything that needs a login are never accessed; it sticks to what is public on the web interface.

Will the saved clip be sharper than a screen recording?
