Finding and converting the video

Using it

1. Install and verify. Add the extension to your browser and confirm your email with the one-time code; access is then checked against your account.
2. Play. Open the video page on PornTrex.com and start playback so the stream variants can be detected.
3. Choose. Pick a format from the in-player control, the popup or the right-click menu.
4. Collect. Follow progress in the download manager while the MP4 is written to your PornTrex downloads folder.

Keep in mind that formats only appear after you press play, that quality depends on the variants the current page exposes, that you need the rights to access and save the content, and that the email sign-in must be completed first.

• downloads: puts each finished MP4 on disk and feeds live progress to the download manager.
• storage: holds your activation state and preferred quality locally so they survive a browser restart.

FAQ

Which controls turn a PornTrex video into a saved file?

Press play, then reach for whichever control is handiest: the button inside the player, the toolbar popup or the right-click entry. After you settle on a quality, an MP4 copy is written to your computer.

How many resolutions will I see?

That varies per video. Everything found in the player's settings, HTML5 sources, scripts and CDN entries goes into the list, sorted from the sharpest down. Where a resolution exists in both MP4 and HLS form, MP4 takes priority, and the HLS version is converted for you if chosen.

Is the output ever something other than MP4?

Never. An MP4 source is kept exactly as it is; an HLS source is stitched together and turned into MP4 within the browser.

Where on my computer do PornTrex videos land?

Inside Downloads/PornTrex, a subfolder of the browser's standard Downloads directory.

Can it record a PornTrex broadcast while it's live?

No, live capture is outside what this product does.

Could it unlock something behind DRM or a paywall?

It cannot. Only material your current session can already play is in reach; DRM, paywalls and account permissions are left untouched, with no attempt to bypass them.

The video isn't being detected. What should I do?

Sources often stay hidden until playback begins, so start the video and try the player button or popup once more. Still nothing? Reload and wait until the player has fully initialised.

Is Opera or Yandex supported?

Both are. The full desktop list is Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Brave, Opera, Whale and Yandex, on Windows, macOS or Linux; Safari and phones or tablets are left out.

Do downloads, activeTab, tabs and scripting all really need to be granted?

Each covers part of the job. Downloads, activeTab, tabs and scripting, together with context-menu and offscreen access, are what let it locate streams, put controls into the page, turn HLS into MP4 and store the result locally.

Do my videos stay private?

Yes. All the work happens inside your browser, and media files are never handed to third-party servers.
