Why the page needs help

On PornStarsTube, the real media address only shows up after the player has run its start-up sequence. The browser's own save options rarely reach that final stream, and paste-a-link websites add extra steps while exposing what you watch to a third party. Pornstarstube Video Downloader works inside the open tab instead: it waits for the player, looks for usable media, lists what it found and hands your pick to the browser's normal download handling, so you never leave the site.

It only runs on pornstarstube.com and its subdomains.

Where detection looks

When the player is ready, the extension checks several places for media:

• <video> elements
• metadata streams
• performance entries (the record of resources the page has loaded)
• addresses mentioned in scripts
• media addresses hidden in encoded strings

Both direct MP4 files and HLS (M3U8) streams count as candidates. Each is processed by the shared offscreen pipeline, and the finished file is always MP4, which plays in ordinary media players and copies easily to other devices or an archive.

Resolution labels come from the detected metadata or from hints inside the URLs, when those exist, and the options are ranked by height where possible.

Entry points

• Player button. A control is attached right next to the video.
• Popup. The toolbar popup lists every candidate, which also makes it a fast way to learn whether a given player serves direct MP4 or HLS at all, without reading page source or network traffic.
• Context menu. Right-click and choose "Download PornStarsTube Video" on the page or on the video.

A typical session

1. Load the PornStarsTube video you want and let the page finish rendering.
2. Press play. Stream addresses often stay hidden until playback starts, so give detection a few seconds.
3. Use whichever entry point the page offers to see the candidates.
4. Compare them and select the resolution or format you prefer.
5. Confirm. The in-page download manager shows live progress while the offscreen work runs.
6. When it finishes, look in your browser's default downloads directory, inside a subfolder named Pornstars Tube.

Setup and connectivity

Get the newest build from the extension's GitHub releases, choosing the package made for your browser, and install it. Whenever a later build is published there, the extension lets you know. To activate it, you sign in by email and enter the one-time password you are sent. Downloads need a working internet connection. Media detection and file processing stay in your browser, and the only outside services contacted are sign-in and the update check, so your videos never travel to another server.

PornStarsTube itself is an adult video site with an in-browser player. Only keep videos that belong to you or that you have clear permission to save.
