Perverzija Video Downloader works on tube.perverzija.com and nowhere else. Rather than trying to handle every video site and doing a mediocre job on most of them, it is built around Perverzija alone. Within that domain it reacts to the regular video pages; search results, category listings and the homepage do not trigger it. Outside those pages it sits idle in the background, so it barely registers in the browser until you open a supported video.

The obstacle it gets around

On Perverzija, the video is not part of the page you are looking at. The page acts as a frame for an embedded iframe player, and the stream only lives inside that nested player. Right-clicking the video or using the browser's usual save options therefore reaches the frame and never the file.

The extension deals with this by attaching itself to playback at the point where the player loads its media. It records the downloadable stream before the player absorbs it, which lets the save happen inside the browser like any ordinary download, with no outside programs and no copying of links.

Streams and output

The player can deliver either of these:

• a direct MP4 file
• an M3U8 playlist, which is how HLS streaming splits a video into short segments

The extension detects both. The MP4 conversion is handled for you, so the file you keep is always an MP4, a format that phones, laptops and smart TVs play without extra codecs or special players. Actual writing to disk is left to the browser's own download engine.

Saving one video

1. Download the build from the extension's latest release and install it through your browser's usual extension setup.
2. Open a video page on Perverzija and let it finish loading.
3. Start the video. The player has to initialise before there is a stream to catch.
4. Click the extension's toolbar icon. Scanning the page normally takes only a few seconds.
5. Look through the detected options in the popup, where each one has its own download button, and choose the quality or format you want.
6. Press download. When the browser asks, pick a folder for the MP4.

Downloads run one after another, never side by side. Processing them in sequence keeps them stable and avoids half-finished files, so start the next one once the current file is done.

You sign in to the extension with your email address, confirmed through a one-time password rather than a stored password.

Limits

Saving depends on a working internet connection for as long as the download runs. Perverzija does not use one identical player setup for every video, and videos with a non-standard configuration or extra protection may stay invisible to the extension. Updates to Perverzija's player or site can also interfere with detection from time to time.

If a saved file will not play, reload the page and try again; repeated failures usually mean the stream expired or was damaged. Persistent failures can be reported as an issue on the project's GitHub repository, along with the page and the error.

Save only content that belongs to you or that you have been clearly allowed to keep.

Will the extension do anything on Perverzija's homepage or search?

No. It runs only on standard video pages at tube.perverzija.com; search results, category listings and the homepage are skipped.

Which stream types does it recognise, and what does it save?

M3U8 and MP4 streams coming from Perverzija's player. Each one is exported as a regular MP4, which plays on nearly any device.

Is it possible to queue a batch of Perverzija videos at the same moment?

No. They are handled sequentially, one at a time, which keeps each download stable and prevents incomplete files. Queue up the next video after the current one completes.

A download failed. What is the first thing to try?

Check your internet connection, reload the page and start over. If the failure keeps coming back, open an issue on the project's GitHub repository and include the page and the error you saw.

The popup is empty even though I am on a video. Why?

The video probably is not playing yet. The extension can only catch the stream once the player has initialised, so start playback and open the popup again.
