Kompoz2 Video Downloader
Kompoz2 lays out videos like a TV schedule under /tv/ addresses, and this extension saves each entry's embedded M3U8 or MP4 stream as MP4.
How Kompoz2 lays out its videos
Kompoz2 publishes adult video content behind an interface modelled on a TV station rather than a thumbnail gallery: channel grids, schedule rows and episode slots. Each program entry has its own address, shaped like /tv/<id>/<page>.html. Playback on an entry runs in an embedded iframe player, and the stream, M3U8 or MP4, can't be reached until that player area has finished loading. Download tools written for ordinary video pages don't recognise these TV-listing routes, so they come away with nothing.
What Kompoz2 Video Downloader does differently
- Reads the address. A URL matching the
/tv/entry pattern tells it a program entry is open. On any tab that isn't Kompoz2 it stays dormant and light. - Waits on the player. It follows the iframe playback surface while it initialises and inspects it only once it has settled, because that is where the stream request shows up.
- Works out the stream type. Segmented M3U8 manifests and direct MP4 files are both picked up, so you never have to inspect network traffic to tell which one an entry uses.
- Hands back MP4. Whatever the source, the saved file is a standard MP4 that plays on virtually any device or player.
Saving an entry
Install the build for your browser from the latest release, then activate it with the one-time password emailed to you.
On kompoz2.com, work through the listings to a video and open its entry page; the address should contain /tv/ and an ID. Give the embedded player time to appear and initialise fully, then click the toolbar icon. The popup scans the player surface and lists each M3U8 or MP4 source found, along with format details and quality options. Pick the stream that suits you, press download, and when the export completes the MP4 is waiting in your downloads folder.
Things to expect
Only the /tv/ route pattern is targeted, so other page types on Kompoz2 may not work, and moving around the TV-style listings can feel different from browsing a regular video site. An empty popup can mean the player is still loading: give it longer and reopen it. Some entries carry just one stream, and the popup never shows more than the player exposes. An internet connection is needed for the whole download. If a saved file misbehaves in your default player, VLC deals with a wider range of MP4 packaging.
Only download content you're authorised to save.
FAQ
How is this unlike an ordinary video grabber?
It's made for Kompoz2's TV listing pages that use the /tv/<id>/<page>.html pattern, and it understands both that page architecture and the embedded playback flow.
Which kinds of media will it notice?
M3U8 playlists and plain MP4 files, as long as the embedded player loads them.
How does signing in work?
You receive a one-time password by email and use it to sign in.
What about Kompoz2 pages outside the TV listings?
It's designed for addresses following /tv/<id>/<page>.html, so other page types might not be compatible.
Why does a Kompoz2 download sometimes stop before the end?
Segmented M3U8 transfers don't tolerate dropped connections well. Make sure your network is steady, then start the download again.
