Kajabi Video Downloader

Saves Kajabi lesson videos as MP4, whether the coach embedded them from Loom, Vimeo, YouTube or Wistia, all processed inside your browser.

Course videos you can't keep

On Kajabi, the course creator decides everything: lessons get swapped, programs get reorganized, and whole memberships can be shut down whenever the creator likes. Kajabi itself offers no download button, so you can only stream, and when your access ends the lessons go with it. A library of lessons on your own drive survives those changes, and you can study the material without a connection.

One tool for every embed host

Creators don't host lesson video on Kajabi alone; they embed it from Loom, Vimeo, YouTube, Wistia and other services. Kajabi Video Downloader works out which of these a given lesson uses and applies the extraction method that fits that provider, without any setup from you, so you never need to know where the video really lives or keep a separate downloader per host.

Quality follows the host. Whatever renditions it exposes are listed, each with an estimated file size, and the original quality is preserved up to the highest resolution that host provides. HLS and other segmented streams are converted into ordinary MP4 files inside the browser.

Saving a lesson

  • Activate: install the extension, confirm your email with the one-time password, and log in to Kajabi in your browser as normal.
  • Open a lesson: go to a course lesson. The extension finds the embedded player and identifies its host.
  • Save: click the extension to see the quality options and pick one. A progress overlay appears on the lesson page, and you can start other lessons while it runs, since downloads go in parallel.
  • Play offline: the finished MP4 opens in any media player on any device, no streaming needed.

The extension only wakes up on Kajabi lesson pages and stays idle on every other site. It works across standard Kajabi domains, mykajabi domains and, in many cases, custom-domain lesson pages built on the same platform structure.

Privacy

Detection, stream handling and MP4 creation all run inside your browser. Nothing from the video is uploaded, no personal information is gathered, and your Kajabi login details never leave your computer.

Browsers, systems and region

  • Browsers: Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Brave and Opera, plus Whale and Yandex
  • Operating systems: Windows, macOS and Linux
  • Region: Worldwide
  • Not supported: Safari and mobile browsers

What it won't do

  • Reach lesson pages without an active Kajabi membership and a browser login.
  • Exceed the quality the embedded host (Loom, Vimeo and so on) provides.
  • Reliably detect video served from a custom host or any provider outside the supported set.
  • Capture anything protected by DRM.
  • Save a whole course at once; lessons are downloaded individually.

Permissions

  • downloads: writes finished MP4s to your device and keeps the progress displays in sync.
  • activeTab: locates embedded video players on the Kajabi lesson page you're viewing.
  • storage: keeps quality preferences, activation state and download history on your machine.
  • scripting: reads video source addresses from the Loom, Vimeo, YouTube and Wistia players embedded in a lesson.
  • notifications: used to alert you when a download completes or runs into an error. Ongoing progress is shown in the popup and the on-page download manager, not as system notifications.

FAQ

What's involved in saving a lesson from a Kajabi course?

Start the lesson so its embedded player has loaded its video. After that, a click on the toolbar icon brings up the quality list; pick an entry and the extension deals with that provider's quirks, writing an MP4 when it's done.

Which embedded video hosts work?

Loom, Vimeo, YouTube and Wistia, which are the ones Kajabi coaches typically use, as long as the embed actually appears in your session.

My course runs on its own domain; is that a problem?

Often it isn't. Regular Kajabi addresses, mykajabi addresses and many custom domains are all in scope, provided the lesson pages are built on the same platform structure.

Who decides which Kajabi resolutions I can pick?

The host behind the lesson. Whatever renditions Loom, Vimeo, YouTube or Wistia expose are what the menu offers.

Is there a way to save an entire course automatically?

Not at the moment. You work through lessons individually; the manager can show a few jobs running together, but a full-course export isn't part of the product.

Do lesson captions, transcripts or attachments come along?

They don't. The tool is video-only, so grab those extras from the course platform itself if you need them.

Is there a right-click option for downloading?

No. You start everything from the popup, then follow progress in the download manager. Right-click menus aren't used.

Will I get system notifications?

Progress isn't pushed as desktop notifications; you follow it in the extension popup and the in-page download manager. The notifications permission is there for completion and error alerts.

Will the Kajabi tool install on my setup?

On the desktop, yes, if you run Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Brave, Opera, Whale or Yandex under Windows, macOS or Linux. There's no Safari or mobile browser support.

Does anything leave my browser?

Media work stays local, from detection and stream handling to building the MP4. Outbound requests are limited to activation, checking for updates, and the original video hosts you're already allowed to reach.
