Under the Hood

Media on EroThots is exposed in different ways, so the format list draws on several places within the open page:

Playback has to be running before any of this fills in; some pages also take a while to initialise their player. When a finished MP4 exists, it is fetched right away. All variants are ranked by resolution, top quality first, and an MP4 version beats an HLS one of the same video.

What You See While It Works

You can start from a button added to the player, from the toolbar popup, or from the "Download EroThots Video" item in the right-click menu. Jobs then appear in a download manager inside the page that reports progress, speed and retries, has a cancel control, and marks each job complete. Desktop notifications tell you about finished saves or failures, so the page can keep running in the background while you do something else.

Files are written to the Downloads/EroThots folder, which keeps every save from the site in one predictable place.

Detection, extraction and conversion stay in your browser on your own machine; no media is sent to a third-party server.

Install the extension, enter your email address, and confirm with the one-time passcode (OTP) that arrives. That activates it.
