Cumlouder Video Downloader
Skip thumbnails and ad files and save the actual Cumlouder video as an MP4 using an overlay on the player, the popup or a right-click entry.
What goes wrong with a normal save
Cumlouder wraps its videos in player layers that usually hide where the real media lives. Right-click and save, and you tend to end up with a thumbnail or an advertising asset instead of the film. Delivery can also run through indirect URLs or streams that a standard browser save cannot deal with, which is why people end up on third-party converter sites or reading network request logs by hand. Cumlouder Video Downloader works on the Cumlouder page you already have open and finds the playable source for you.
Where it looks for the source
The extension inspects several parts of the page at once:
- the page markup and its metadata
- scripts on the page
- performance entries recorded by the browser
- player documents linked to the video
From these it normalises direct MP4 addresses (when the page reveals a final file URL) and HLS/M3U8-style streams, which are processed and exported to MP4. Advertisements, preview clips, thumbnails and other unrelated assets are filtered out automatically.
When resolution can be read from labels or URLs, the detected formats are ordered by height. Not every video comes in more than one resolution, and the options always depend on what the page and player expose.
Getting set up
Builds are published as GitHub releases. Open the latest release, download the build that matches your browser and install it. To activate the extension, sign in with your email and the one-time password you receive.
The download controls
| Control | Where you find it | What it offers |
|---|---|---|
| Download overlay | On top of the player on supported video pages | The detected video, ready to save |
| Popup panel | The extension icon in your toolbar | Every format it identified, with quality where known |
| Context menu | Right-click anywhere on the page or on the video element | "Download Cumlouder Video" |
All of them feed the same embedded progress tracker, and finished files are handed to your browser's own download system.
Saving a video
- Open the Cumlouder video you want and press play so the stream starts; on many pages the media endpoint only becomes visible once playback or the player logic has run.
- Open one of the controls above once the video is running.
- Choose a quality and start the download.
- Follow it in the embedded progress tracker, which lists the downloads under way, until the MP4 export is complete.
Files are kept in an organised Cumlouder folder inside your browser's default download path. If they do not seem to be there, your browser's download settings will show where that path points.
Caveats
- Every download needs a working internet connection.
- The formats and qualities on offer change from one video to the next, depending on how that page delivers it.
- The overlay only appears on supported Cumlouder video pages. When it is missing, the popup and the right-click menu are still available.
- If no download options show up at all, reload the page and check that the video is actually playing.
- If a download breaks off early, check your connection, reload the page, start playback again and try once more.
- Save only material you own or have been clearly permitted to download.
FAQ
How do I kick off a Cumlouder download from the page?
Open a supported video page, start it if needed, and use the overlay on the player, the toolbar icon or the right-click shortcut.
Does a Cumlouder video have to be running first?
Often it must. Many pages only reveal the media endpoint after playback begins or after the player's own code has run.
Which stream types can it pick up on Cumlouder?
Direct MP4 and HLS/M3U8-style endpoints, whenever the page, its scripts or the related player flows expose them. Saved files are MP4.
How are Cumlouder resolutions sorted?
The extension tries to read resolution from labels or URLs and, when it can, lists the detected formats by height. What you can choose still depends on the source.
I can't see my Cumlouder file. Which folder should I check?
Into a Cumlouder folder within your browser's default download path. Your browser's download settings show the full location.
Why is there only one quality for some Cumlouder videos?
Because the page and player only offer one. Multiple resolutions appear only when Cumlouder supplies them.
