Circle Video Downloader

Keep Circle lessons, coaching replays and member posts as MP4 files, whether the video was uploaded to Circle or embedded from Loom, Vimeo or YouTube.

Your copy outlasts the membership

Course lessons, coaching replays and members-only workshops on Circle stay viewable only while you belong to the community. Cancel, get removed or let the membership run out and they are no longer yours to watch, and Circle itself gives you nothing to download with. Circle Video Downloader adds that missing button and saves the video as a clean MP4 on your computer.

One extension, many players

Community creators host their videos in different places, and the extension looks for all of them:

  • video uploaded straight to Circle
  • Tella and Loom recordings
  • Vimeo, YouTube and Wistia embeds

To find players tucked deep inside a lesson layout, it walks through Circle's components and shadow DOM layers. Where a direct MP4 is exposed, that file is fetched; otherwise the HLS or DASH stream is converted to MP4 inside the browser. The quality menu lists the renditions each platform actually provides.

Saving a lesson

Open a post, lesson or course page your current session can view and press play, because some embedded players only reveal their stream after playback starts. Then click the extension icon, or right-click the video and choose "Download Circle Video". Choose a quality and the MP4 is written to Downloads/Circle Downloader with no save dialog each time.

Activation is a one-time code sent to your email.

Several downloads at a time

The inline download manager runs up to 3 jobs together and tracks progress for the whole queue. Desktop notifications tell you when a file is done or something failed, so long conversions can continue in the background. It is meant for a few active jobs, not for exporting a full course in one go. For long adaptive streams, leave the source tab open until merging is finished.

The popup also has a YouTube URL section with yt-dlp helper commands you can copy, for advanced users.

What is outside its scope

  • Live streams cannot be captured; it works with recorded lessons and posts.
  • DRM-protected content is not supported.
  • Safari is excluded, as is every mobile browser. It runs in Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Brave, Opera, Whale and Yandex on Windows, macOS and Linux, and it works worldwide.
  • Skool and Kajabi pages are covered by other dedicated SERP extensions, not this one.
  • Quality cannot exceed what the hosting platform offers.
  • Membership gates, paywalls and permissions are never bypassed; you need to already be allowed to access and download the video.

Permissions

  • downloads: puts finished MP4s in the Circle download folder and keeps the manager in sync with running jobs.
  • storage: remembers activation status, queue state and your preferred quality choices on your device between sessions.
  • activeTab: finds Circle content and adds controls to the page you are viewing and no other.
  • tabs: keeps progress visible as you move between Circle posts, lessons and other tabs.
  • scripting: looks through the page's Circle components, its shadow DOM and any embedded player to gather the correct source details before a download begins.
  • notifications: alerts you when a file finishes or fails, which lets the popup stay closed during a long conversion.

Detection, stream processing and MP4 creation all take place in your browser; your videos are not routed through outside servers.

FAQ

Which video hosts inside Circle can it pull from?

Circle's own uploads plus the embedded players creators commonly use in posts and lessons: Tella, Loom, Vimeo, YouTube and Wistia. It identifies whichever source a given lesson relies on.

Will it save lessons from a members-only Circle space?

Yes, provided your current Circle session can already see that post or lesson. It works with the access you have and does not get around permissions, paywalls or membership gates.

What are the steps for saving one Circle lesson?

Open the post or lesson and start playback so the source loads. Then open the extension popup or use "Download Circle Video" from the right-click menu, choose a quality, and an MP4 is saved.

Why do the quality choices vary between Circle lessons?

Resolution comes from the platform hosting the video. The menu lists the renditions that host offers, whether it is Circle, Tella, Loom, Vimeo, YouTube or Wistia, and you choose one.

What folder name should I search for after saving from Circle?

In a Circle Downloader folder created inside your browser's default Downloads directory.

Can a few Circle videos download in parallel?

Yes, up to 3 at the same time in the download manager. It is designed for a small number of active jobs, not for exporting an entire course in bulk.

Can it record a live session in a Circle community?

No. Only recorded videos and embedded lesson content are supported; live-stream capture is not.

Does it also work for Skool or Kajabi courses?

No. Those platforms have their own dedicated SERP extensions. This one is tuned to Circle and the video hosts typically embedded in Circle communities.

Why is the permission list for Circle Video Downloader so long?

Each one covers part of the job across Circle and its embedded video hosts: finding media, processing streams, placing controls on the page, managing downloads and handling sign-in. The full set is declarativeNetRequestWithHostAccess, offscreen, contextMenus, cookies, notifications, tabs, scripting, activeTab and downloads.

Do my Circle course videos pass through anyone's servers?

No. Finding media, processing streams and building the MP4 all happen in your browser. The only remote calls are for activation, update checks and sending the one-time email code.

Is this legal?

We give you full control over download speeds because we believe users should decide how they use their software.

That said, here are a few widely accepted best practices for safe, responsible downloading:

  • Only download content you created, own, or have explicit permission from the rights holder to access.

  • Protect your personal data by respecting platform rules and rate limits with reasonable download speeds to avoid automated abuse systems putting your account at risk.

  • Protect your privacy by using a reputable VPN for IP protection before initiating downloads — this is the VPN we recommend & use.
