Adobe Stock Downloader

Pull whole boards or search pages of your licensed Adobe Stock files into local folders, metadata and asset IDs intact, without Creative Cloud sync.

Skipping the Creative Cloud Round Trip

Bringing licensed files out of Adobe Stock through Creative Cloud turns into a chore once volume is involved. Every asset has to be opened on its own, synced by the desktop app and then moved into the right project folder, and with dozens of new assets a week those short waits add up to real lost time.

Adobe Stock Downloader cuts the desktop sync out. From a search results page or any board on stock.adobe.com you click the extension icon, tick the assets you need and receive them at full quality in local folders, in a batch rather than one at a time. The outcome is an organised offline library of full-resolution licensed files that you can use with no connection.

What Lands in Your Folder

Asset typeFormats
PhotosJPEG or PNG
VectorsEPS, AI or SVG
Video clipsMP4
Design templatestheir native format

Everything arrives at original quality and carries its metadata with it:

  • XMP sidecar data and IPTC fields, so keywords, descriptions and contributor details survive
  • the Adobe Stock usage tier, labelled as Standard or Enhanced
  • the Adobe Stock asset ID, stamped on each file for cross-referencing in a digital asset management (DAM) system

Because the files come already tagged, bringing them into a DAM is straightforward.

Batch Tools

  • Board export: collect every asset on a curated board with one click.
  • Type filter: narrow the selection to photos, vectors, videos or templates before the queue is built.
  • Duplicate guard: asset IDs you've already downloaded are tracked, and you're warned before fetching one again, so the same asset isn't used twice.
  • Parallel queue: several transfers run concurrently, each with its own progress bar and automatic retry on failure.

To find each asset's full-resolution address, the extension reads the search pages and boards that Adobe Stock renders with React.

Permissions, and Why

  • activeTab: reads the Adobe Stock page in front of you to detect assets, extract high-resolution addresses and place download controls on search results and boards.
  • downloads: saves the assets into your downloads folder and keeps track of each file's progress in a batch.
  • storage: keeps activation status, the download history behind duplicate detection, and your preferences between browser sessions.
  • notifications: raises a desktop alert when a batch completes or a transfer runs into an error that needs your attention.

All processing happens locally in the browser. Nothing is sent to external servers, and your Adobe credentials, download history and files remain on your machine.

First Run

  1. Add the extension to Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Brave or Opera.
  2. Complete the short email activation, which is required before first use.
  3. Log in to your Adobe account and open a search results page, a board or an asset's detail view.
  4. Click the extension icon so it scans the page for photos, vectors, videos and templates.
  5. Select files individually or batch-select the lot.
  6. Choose the format and resolution you want, then start the download.

Boundaries

The extension works only with what your Adobe account has licensed or purchased, and you must be logged in for it to fetch anything. It never bypasses paywalls or access restrictions:

  • Watermarked comp images can't be turned into full-resolution files, and watermarks on unlicensed previews are not removed.
  • DRM-protected or restricted assets aren't supported.
  • Video resolution is set by your Adobe Stock account tier.
  • How fast transfers run is governed by your own connection and by Adobe's servers.

FAQ

How do I get images off Adobe Stock using the extension?

Go to a search results page, a board or an asset's detail view and click the extension icon. Once it has scanned the page, tick what you want and press Download. Files go to your downloads folder in their original format.

Is it limited to photos, or does it handle video and templates too?

It covers all of them: photos, vectors, video clips and design templates. Video is saved as MP4, vectors as EPS, AI or SVG, and templates keep their own format.

Is it possible to grab an entire board or collection at once?

Yes. With a board open, click the icon and it gathers every asset in that collection into a batch, showing progress for each file.

Will keywords and usage details stay attached to the files?

Yes. The full XMP and IPTC metadata travels with each file, keywords, descriptions, contributor details and usage type included, so DAM imports stay straightforward.

Does it unlock assets my Adobe account can't open?

No. It downloads only what your Adobe Stock account can already access. Paywalls, watermarks on unlicensed previews and other access restrictions stay exactly as they are.

Is Safari or a mobile browser an option for Adobe Stock downloads?

No, neither Safari nor mobile browsers are covered. It runs in desktop Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Brave or Opera, on Windows, macOS or Linux.

Are my Adobe credentials or files sent anywhere?

No. Every step runs inside your browser, so credentials, download history and file data all remain on your own machine.

We give you full control over download speeds because we believe users should decide how they use their software.

That said, here are a few widely accepted best practices for safe, responsible downloading:

  • Only download content you created, own, or have explicit permission from the rights holder to access.

  • Protect your personal data by respecting platform rules and rate limits with reasonable download speeds to avoid automated abuse systems putting your account at risk.

  • Protect your privacy by using a reputable VPN for IP protection before initiating downloads — this is the VPN we recommend & use.
